Alaves are in a serious need of
points. They are in the relegation zone of the league being 19th with just 21
points. The head coach Mendilibar and his players know - they will go down if
they don’t start winning more as soon as possible.
The hosts have won just one of
their last five matches in the league. Last week Deportivo Alaves paid a visit
to Getafe and at least won a point after a 2-2 draw. Gonzalo Escalante and
Edgar Mendez scored for Mendilibar’s team, but these two goals were enough only
for a point.
